Introduction to Mindfulness

This half day course will give you a introductory insight into what Mindfulness is and how it can benefit you in your everyday life. Whether you are new to Mindfulness or have attended one of our courses, or a courses elsewhere this half day introduction would benefit you.

Learn new techniques to help remain calm and focussed in your everyday life or further your practice in supportive manor.

Cost for this course is £30

Mindfulness Based Living Course (MBLC)

The MBLC course is an eight week course consisting of eight classes, these are typically two hours sessions each week.  A practice day of Mindfulness is included between weeks 6 and 7. The course comprises of the following:

  • Week 1 – Start where we are
  • Week 2 – The body as a place to present
  • Week 3 – Introducing a Mindfulness support
  • Week 4 – Working with Distraction
  • Week 5 – Exploring the undercurrent
  • Week 6 – Attitude of the observer
  • Day of Practice
  • Week 7 – Self Acceptance
  • Week 8 – A Mindfulness based life

Mindfulness Based Living Course is a recognised eight week course by the UK Good Practice Guidelines.

Compassion Based Living Course

The CBLC is and eight week course consisting of eight classes, these are typically two hour sessions each week. This secular course builds upon Mindfulness with building self compassion through compassionate imagery, mindful self compassion where we create our inner tool kit, to help us deal with the difficulties that are part of everyday life.

On this course we develop and cultivate our inner voice so that its kind and supportive, instead of being self critical and destructive and to live from this kind and supportive approach.  We then move to bringing compassion for others, generating love and friendliness to our inner and outer worlds, responding appropriately to pain and suffering while also appreciating the good things in our lives.

The course comprises of the following:

  • Week 1 – Why practice Compassion?
  • Week 2 – The Compassionate Mess
  • Week 3 – It’s not our fault: an evolutionary perspective
  • Week 4 – Creating conditions of safeness
  • Week 5 – Befriending the self critic
  • Week 6 – Finding the compassionate friend within
  • Week 7 – The Four Immeasurable Qualities
  • Week 8 – Widening the circle of compassion

Cost for this course is £200

Mindfulness for Health and Well-Being

This is an eight week course consisting of eight classes, these are typically two hour sessions each week. The aim of this course is for those that health issues or Long Term Health Conditions as well as those dealing everyday life issues.

  • Week 1 – Preparations for a journey
  • Week 2 – Living in our heads
  • Week 3 – Noticing the pleasant
  • Week 4 – Recognising Aversion
  • Week 5 – Coming home to the body
  • Week 6 – Thoughts are not facts
  • Week 7 – Acceptance
  • Week 8 – The future and what next

Cost for this course is £200

1:1 Mindfulness Sessions

We offer 1 to 1 Mindfulness session for those that do not like being in groups, where they would like to learn Mindfulness in a friendly 1 to 1 setting. If this is something that would interest you please Contact Us Here

Mindfulness for Organisations

We offer sessions for organisations in various formats and can provide a tailored package to suit your setting, from one off introductory sessions to one day retreats. Please Contact Us for further information.
