Alex Cowie
Alex Started his journey into Mindfulness when he lost his job to an injury which caused severe back pain and then led to depression. So he was drawn towards this approach of Mindfulness where he completed two MBCT courses. After completely changing his life and his physical and mental health improved he decided to look further afield within Mindfulness and completed several courses with the Mindfulness Association and completed their teacher training program. He also has regular supervision and is grateful for his teachers, Vin Harris, Kathy White-Webster, Choden, Fay Adams, Heather Regan-Addis, and Professor Paul Gilbert OBE.
Alex has been working within the NHS teaching in a primary mental health care setting for four years teaching a wide variant of courses as well as teaching Mindfulness. Alex has now given up his job and now focuses on teaching Mindfulness and Compassion to everyone as it has changed his life and has seen the benefits not just in his health but in his day to day living.
